Tour of Bonneville Locks and Dam (Sold Out)
Embark on an enlightening journey through the heart of hydroelectric innovation with a captivating tour of the Bonneville Locks and Hydropower Project, a testament to the ingenuity of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As you traverse the intricacies of the Bonneville Locks, marvel at the engineering marvel that facilitates the smooth navigation of vessels, allowing them to traverse the river's tumultuous waters. The hydropower project, with its massive turbines, showcases the Corps' commitment to harnessing nature's power for the greater good. Furthermore, delve into the project's historical significance as a key contributor to the region's economic development and energy independence. The tour culminates in an exploration of the fish passage, a pioneering initiative by the Corps to ensure the preservation of local aquatic ecosystems. The tour the afternoon of April 30th leaving from the hotel at 1:00 and returning by 5:00 p.m.
