In the fall of 2015, the Northwest Hydro Electric Association began soliciting donations to fund a scholarship in Julie’s memory, with the support of Julie’s family and colleagues. The Julie A. Keil Women in Hydro Scholarship Fund will provide:

  • An education scholarship program for women enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school program majoring in a discipline relevant to entering the hydropower industry. The scholarship will be based on merit and financial need.
  • Grants to women who plan to enter the hydropower industry to assist in expenses to attend industry events.

Annual scholarships began in the fall of 2017.
