Speaker Bios:

  • Demian Ebert is the Klamath Program Manager for PacifiCorp. In this role, he works in the interface between continued operations of the hydroelectric project through 2023 and the Klamath River Renewal Corporation's work related to preparing facilities for dam removal.
  • Mark Bransom is Chief Executive Officer of the Klamath River Renewal Corporation (KRRC), the non-profit entity responsible for removing the Klamath River hydroelectric dams and restoring project lands. Mark Bransom has over 35 years of planning, engineering, and construction experience in water resources and environmental management for state and local governments, federal agencies, Tribal Nations, NGOs, and private sector clients throughout the Western United States. Prior to heading up KRRC, Mark was with CH2MHill where he worked as a Senior Vice President in Water Resources & Environmental Management and oversaw a variety of large water infrastructure and environmental restoration projects. He was also previously a member of the faculty at Oregon State University, where he taught, conducted research, and consulted on natural resources management and infrastructure projects.
  • Mort McMillen has 39 years of experience in the water resources and heavy civil industry with a wide range of project experience in dams, hydropower, fish passage, and construction. Mort is an Executive Vice-President at co-founder of McMillen Incorporated located in Boise Idaho and working throughout the USA and 8 countries. On the Klamath Project, Mort served as the Owners Representative for KRRC with overall responsibility for the technical and project management oversight of the project engineering and construction execution.
  • Tim Hemstreet serves as Vice President of Renewable Energy Development at PacifiCorp, where he leads a group focused on development of renewable assets, optimization of the Company’s existing renewable assets, and environmental and hydropower licensing and compliance. Mr. Hemstreet has been with PacifiCorp for 19 years and has had roles in environmental policy, engineering, hydro licensing and project management, and wind and hydro project development. Mr. Hemstreet served on PacifiCorp’s negotiating team for the Klamath Hydroelectric Settlement Agreement.
